Environment

McArdle ECS are aware of their environmental responsibilities, and endeavour to work in a manner that reduces the impact on the environment.

By advocating waste minimisation measures and re-cycling materials for re-use on site reduces the need for landfill use and reduces the use of primary aggregates. These techniques together with the use of soil stabilisation can also dramatically reduce the number of lorry movements from a site, providing benefits to the local community as well as wider benefits to stakeholders.

The provision of more sustainable remediation solutions in the future to enable brownfield land to be regenerated will bring longer tern benefits.

In addition to the above we recognise that our daily company activities have other effects on the environment. We are currently working towards a plan to minimise these effects and achieving ISO14001 Environmental accreditation by the end of 2003.
